Discover TOTAL1™ for Astigmatism
The new TOTAL1™ for Astigmatism contact lenses combine two technologies to create a comfortable lens for astigmatic people. Water gradient technology so all that touches your eye is a cushion of moisture and SmarTears™ technology that features the release of an ingredient found naturally in your tears that helps stabilise your eye's tear film.
Life with astigmatism can result in some pretty frustrating situations – make up mishaps, ghostly apparitions, and streaky lights at nighttime that can make getting around a real pain.
An Aussie with astigmatism explains how some of their real-life experiences led to some awkward incidents, and their moments of revelation when they realised life doesn’t have to be so blurry.

Jeff
“I thought it was normal vision, the blurriness and glare”
Jeff’s clubbing days were decidedly over, but his weekly bike ride to play indoor soccer reminded him of his early 20s – the streetlamps would distort into the sky like red and green strobe lights.
He thought everyone saw the same until he was finally diagnosed with astigmatism by his optometrist 10 years ago. It turns out seeing disco rave traffic lights was actually just glare from his astigmatism. Thankfully, Jeff no longer feels like he's in a silent rave, and arrives safe and sound at practice every week.
Speak to your optometrist for an eye health check if you think you may have astigmatism or are interested in corrective contact lenses.
