See our answers to your most frequently asked questions about contact lenses and the TOTAL™ brand below.

TOTAL™ contact lenses require a prescription and can be purchased through your eye care professional, online, or other retailers. Don’t have an eye care professional? Find one here.

We may be biased, but TOTAL™ contact lenses are our favorite contact lens choice for those wanting exceptional comfort. Why, you ask? Because all TOTAL™ contact lenses feature Water Gradient material that provides nearly 100% water at the outermost surface so nothing touches the eye but a gentle cushion of moisture.1-4

TOTAL™ contact lenses are the first5,6 contact lenses to incorporate Water Gradient material, allowing for nearly 100% water at the outermost surface.1-4** This creates a gentle cushion of moisture to keep your contact lenses comfortable throughout the day.

**Based on in vitro measurements of unworn lenses.

The water content in contact lenses refers to the quantity of H20 in the lens. All TOTAL™ contact lenses feature nearly 100% water at the surface of the lens for exceptional comfort.1-4 Check them out here.

If you’ve ever felt the edges of your contact lenses, you’re not alone. Some people adjust to the feeling over time, while for others it may be a source of contact lens discomfort. We believe that wearing contact lenses should feel seamless. That’s why we’ve created a TOTAL™ family of contact lenses for daily disposable and monthly replacement contact lens wearers. TOTAL™ contact lenses feature Water Gradient material that provides nearly 100% water at the outermost surface so nothing touches the eye but a gentle cushion of moisture.1-4

Contact lenses should remain comfortable when used according to the manufacturer’s instructions. If you’re experiencing contact lens discomfort, speak with your eye care professional and ask about DAILIES TOTAL1™ or TOTAL30™, the daily disposable and monthly replacement contact lenses with nearly 100% water at the outermost surface so nothing touches the eye but a gentle cushion of moisture.1-4

That’s a tough question as it totally depends on your personal needs and preferences. Please check with your eye care professional for what is right for you. Monthly replacement contact lenses may be better for those who prefer not to dispose of their contact lenses every day or the space-saving benefit of fewer contact lens boxes. Daily disposable contact lenses may be better for consumers who like a fresh new lens every day and prefer not to have to clean and disinfect their lenses.

Monthly replacement contact lenses are designed to be used for up to 30 days then replaced with a new lens at the beginning of a new month. In the case of TOTAL30™ contact lenses, they should be removed each day for proper cleaning, disinfecting, and storing. Click here for more about our favorite monthly replacement lens.

Daily disposable contact lens wearers will argue a new lens every day provides an ultimate lens-wearing experience. On the other hand, with proper cleaning and disinfection, monthly replacement contact lenses are another great option. Explore DAILIES TOTAL1™ and TOTAL30™, our daily disposable and monthly replacement contact lenses with nearly 100% water at the outermost surface so nothing touches the eye but a gentle cushion of moisture.1-4

Monthly replacement contact lenses are great for people who prefer not to dispose of their contact lenses every day or prefer the space-saving benefit of fewer boxes. Monthly replacement contact lenses also tend to be less expensive than their daily disposable counterparts.

TOTAL30™ contact lenses are safe when used according to directions for use. Just remember to remove, clean and disinfect them with a multi-purpose solution or hydrogen peroxide solution at the end of each day.

Astigmatism occurs when the cornea is shaped like a rugby ball, as opposed to spherical like a basketball. This causes fuzzy, blurred vision and can make images appear stretched. Not to worry, it can be corrected with a Toric contact lens like DAILIES TOTALfor Astigmatism.

Lens stability is key to clear, consistent vision. Some contact lenses for astigmatism can rotate excessively during blinking, which can cause blurry vision. DAILIES TOTALfor Astigmatism has a unique, proven design that keeps the contact lenses in place, providing exceptionally clear vision all day7.

Presbyopia is a naturally occurring vision condition which typically begins in or around your 40s. It develops gradually over time and affects the elasticity of the eye, making it difficult to read print up close. It's nothing out of the ordinary because it happens to everyone. You typically notice it when you read something and move it further away from your face to bring it into focus.
